I have been shooting photography for most of my adult life. I started shooting when I was 18 years old when I started capturing images with a Canon AE1 camera. Soon after I was bitten by the magic of developing my own B&W film and the magic of seeing an image I had captured just a few hours before appear upon that page in a dim light darkroom. Not long after I upgraded to developing color film and with that the purchase of a small print processor.
As time goes on images captured become more valuable. It can be a simply snapshot, such as the one shown below. I captured this image in August, 1979 in my girlfriend’s front lawn. Today, we have been married for over 26 years and we have a lovely 23 year old daughter.
The image below is priceless to me. It was rediscovered recently when I discovered an old 8×10 Kodak box in the attic.

I always have the thought in mind that when I capture images they will be somebodies priceless memories at some point in the future. I try to capture my subjects personality at some point during the session.
I am lucky in that photography is my hobby and profession. It is so nice to be able to do what you love for a living.
